22-II-2011.

Snow again. Lena called just because she thought we did. The wrong number is never busy.

Looking to buy more tools. A circular saw perhaps. With all the leftover planks... who knows, we may do something with it.

In the evening talked with Daniel and a guy from a client's IT department, to settle some confusion about a stupid situation we got into with some guys who supply a complementary app and hardware*. We're sort of cooperating with them, but now they're going out on one hand blabbering how they can do it all without us, and on the other bringing us potential customers (where they think selling both our wares may fit better what the clinic wants).

Had a loong chat with Suez about „how to get a cursor with ALL patients“ (as opendata("t_demo“) asks for a patient's ID), and how to replace all of their initial contact date with presentation date (or vice versa). It's either that my skype log, such as I could get, has things in triplicate, or we went through the same stuff more than once.

Another long one with Das, about the client in Australia, and their NPSU aka ANZARD (aussie-NZ a-something reproductive database or whatever, their equivalent of SHET), there was some snafu as some of their regnos (registration numbers, which Suez always pronounced as redgenoes, but then procs werent pross, but prox) lacking their prefix. Whatever it was, I had a ready script which would fix that, just couldn't connect all morning. And then I had five powerouts since last night, our FID safety switch reacts to something. Then he couldn't connect either, but we had until my midnight to do that, before the Aussies come to work.

I kept FoxClocks add-on in Firefox always on, to show time on both US coasts, UK, India and Australia. So I don't get confused. After some 20 versions of Firefox it stopped working altogether, but by then I knew it by heart and didn't need it anymore.

Funny, though, how these skype calls work - a guy in Canada calls me, then adds a guy in the UK or Ireland on the phone. The world is getting really small... but then why do we still need passports?
