Went to Nena's shop to get a new motherboard. Actually, we made a complete tour - to the market to buy cauliflower and cabbage for the preserve; visited the tool shop there to see if they have that part for the chainsaw; and the Chinese shops in search of a vegetable chopper. Found no chopper (got one from dad later in the afternoon, that mom loved to use, but it didn't help - not big enough to slice the cabbage for filled peppers), but bought a dozen other things. A ceramic mug with tight lid for Lena to carry her soup to the class; three pliers and a directional screwdriver for me; a big roll of adhesive tape; a large ashtray with that old mechanism which you press on top and the false bottom goes down spinning and the butt and ashes scatter into the lower compartment; corks for the beer bottles; funnels, including one that's about 300mm in diameter.

Spent all afternoon dismantling the old motherboard and mounting the new, no dice. Won't show video.

On the heating front, I started taking measures for the two big nuts which hold the water pump. It's dead, and replacing it is actually quite easy, it's just that my largest pliers aren't big enough - they open to max 55mm or thereabouts, and this needs 70mm. Don't have a wrench of that size.
