23-VIII-1955.

I was born. I almost got born the previous evening, while my parents were in the kantina. I was under the table (which didn't happen to me in my regular life - never got that drunk). The time registered is 8:20, but it was actually 8:05, which will be typical of me - the first lesson would start at 8, but I was often a bit late.

Found a pocket calendar where dad wrote just "son is born, will be called:", and then the name two days later. I remember there was some dispute over it, as I was the male line so I should be called same as my grandfather, which I perhaps wouldn't mind, but it was somewhat peasant and unfashionable. Seems that mom won by pointing to a character in a WWI novel with that name - the guy being a lieutenant and dying a hero made dad agree.

It's one of more fashionable names of the era - in any class I was, throughout my education, there would be at least one more, often two with the same name.
