Couple of days ago we two went downtown to buy presents for the children. Weather was gloomy and chilly, dry and no beauty at all. In Nama we found neat little shoes for the twins, and when we got out, started toward Bigz's book store (who knows whose it is now), I just said „you go, I'll stay to breathe a bit“. Because I needed to. It's not that I was running out of breath, it's more forcing me to take next breath before finishing the current. Which I didn't understand at the time, so it felt far more dramatic than it was.
Opening the presents. It's been a bit of a mixed bag - the presents could have been reshuffled several ways, and still be wrong. Violet is happy with her doll house (real wood, czech made), and Sanda and Linda got some just as nice wooden contraptions with moving parts. Raja got some new games. Merry all around.
In the evening we three adults sat and celebrated 25 years since 25-XII-1993., when we moved into this house. Had a couple of rakijas (apricot, our best) and declared smoking allowed downstairs for the evening. We never actually banned it, it's a kind of courtesy and also lots of pressure - if any of the dozens of pictures we take would accidentally leak into the web, we'd be swamped by SJW and other types for having cigarettes and children in the same room. Which is about 85 square meters (whole ground floor) - nobody minded us smoking in the tiny 32 square meters back in the eighties. Nothing changed, except the average pressure of antismoking propaganda.
Lena and Milan returned from Frankfurt two days ago. Seems they had a good time. There was a company/team party with families and kids, and Lena amazed some of the fresh parents there with the ease and skill of handling their babies. Well, she had a whole month of practice with these two...
Sanda's 2nd tooth finally came out. She was delayed by that flu; for the first tooth they were in sync within a day.
In Lidl, for pure kicks, we bought caviar. One tiny jar of less than hundred grams, 300 dinars, well then why not. Nina made herself sandwiches - bread, pašteta, caviar. We repeated this a year later, only we didn't eat that one to the end, threw away at least half of it. But that time I made a rich man's sandwich: bread lard and caviar.
Caviar never appeared again in Lidl.
On 28th finally made that remote for eos70 work. It needed a fresh battery. Seeing as it was bought in february and it's a wider button battery, no wonder. Those don't last.
Posted this on burundi, as happened to me at work, on the subject „Little soft one“, aka m$...
