Next dance, 18:30 at community center. Initially not too many girls. Then I told Zvojko that in the nearby elementary [school] next to ruža they also have a "doček", actually just a dance, and he was game so we both went, and so did his kid brother. Didn't like it there, it was the usual, middle of the room reserved for dancing, chairs to the walls, girls sitting, boys standing in corners and trying to pull enough courage to ask a girl for a dance, and it took one forever (or one never) to break the ice, which often didn't work, many refused (yet came to it, perhaps the guy was wrong?)... Part of that can be ascribed to the atmosphere, all lights were always on, to prevent any hand touching where it shouldn't. Which doesn't mean it never happened, just that you won't do it while we were watching. And then possibly the „what would the enemy say“ attitude [i.e. we must all be watchful not to give enemy propaganda any excuse]. Eh, the times when enemy's opinion was respected, and own youth's opinion was not even asked for.
So we quit after 20 minutes and went to their place, where we recapped the preparations for doček.
