03-XII-2009.: Let's go

Lena is unhappy again - the situation with college doesn't lend a shred of hope. She had someone ask the advisor, not mentioning any names, of what can be done to get her enrolled into any decent college in Virginia. The answer was zilch, no way Jose.

So we've pretty much decided to just pack and go home. We'll leave the house and the other property to Nina, get Lena into some French or British college (though Netherlands is also a candidate). Time to create a name on craigslist and start selling old monitors, larger books, power supplies... anything that's too bulky to carry and Nina wouldn't need.

Idea for a business - if Serbia still doesn't allow payments from private citizens (aka "physical faces", i.e. persons, as the legalese there has it) to entities abroad, I'd just keep my account here at the credit union, and charge a modest 10% to get things paid.

Come to think of it, the house is literally empty. We got beds, cupboards, tables and chairs, even a sofa and two armchairs, but the kitchen is dysfunctional - no stove, no mirko, junk fridge, junk washer, heating emptied ten years ago, probably rusty... and no tools either, all given away. At least there's power, water and phone, and web access should be easy to get.

Screw you, USA.
