Radisav Pajsić

(Person, Yugoslavia)

A professor of OTO (opšte tehničko obrazovanje - general technical education), with a real diploma but from Rijeka college of industrial pedagogy, which is what most of the colleagues from MPSŠC also finished. It was the first, and for a while the only, college of the kind, so many technical schools sent their ungraduated teachers there to complete it. When it came down to passing exams, however, it was a bit expensive to send all of them there. Much cheaper to pay the professor to come here, have a room in kaštel and a dinner together with all the students, and count that as the exam.

He was a bit late for that batch, though - he graduated in december 1973 (Baki brought the news and we got some money together and bought a kilo of vinjak and handed it to him during the class... it was in addition to other drink that we bought for ourselves).

Met him later again when I worked in MPSŠC, but he was not in my schedule, being one of the coordinators for OTP (osnovi tehnike i proizvodnje - technology and production fundamentals, replacement for OTO which involved working somewhere one day a week, and these coordinators were in charge of the logistics for that day). Aging didn't make him look any nicer or smarter, the same semiliterate drunk as ever. The schedule thing meant we didn't meet at all, perhaps twice a year.
