10-IX-2010.

Few days ago we also met panta, the local legend of a rocker, or mocker. He was kind of drunk as usual, but as lucid as ever, boasting that he's getting his wardrobe outfitted in a sekendica. He also invited us to a gig he has tonight at zelenozvono. The weather was soggy and foggy, so we (Lena and I) went in far before the beginning. I took many shots and lots of video (even at the low VGA resolution, the Fujica did it right and the sound was very good). There was a break, so we sat in the middle of main street and had a beer, then came back. Picked a high stool by a side table, so I'd have a good vantage point and could shoot over the heads of the audience (perhaps a hundred or so, the place isn't too big). Had more beers.

The crazy thing is that panta didn't write much over the decades. Most of his hits were written in the seventies ("Ear of corn blues", "Step on the landmine", "Tears flowing, tears flowing, merry little streams") when most of the current audience wasn't born yet. Still, they knew all the lyrics and sang along. There was even one guy who came to the stage to dance and sing with him and the bouncers had to calm him down. Everyone had a great time.

„I work the forklift. A forklift has one button and two levers. This guitar and this contraption on the floor have fifteen, so it is a bit complicated for me... now have patience til I find which button does what...“

At some point I even saw his drummer pausing to laugh it off. He knows the stuff by heart, panta does his numbere exactly the same each time, with exactly the false notes he used over all these years, and still he has to laugh.

Later, I shared the video on yootyoob, and panta thanked me and included it into his channel. I used the simple VirtualDub as the video editor - no effects, no credits, no movement of cuts, just plain trim in chronological order, which is the editing technique like we did on 8mm in 1968.

Few years later, I removed all my videos from yootyoob, for disagreeing with Google's always changing terms and conditions and wanting to know more and more about who am I and what I do.
