30-VI-2018.

We didn't get rained on much today. We carried Lena's umbrella, and it stopped the rain. Everything was just wet but nothing fell. Had breakfast - proja and yogurt for me, burek and yogurt for her, the yogurt being in new and improved two deciliter cup, which contains 0,18l of it. Progress made in all areas.

Then went strolling. She didn't bring any yarn or hook, so she bought some. We carried that all the way to the beach - the little river beach behind the other park - and there we saw a piglet on the spit, just getting ready.

So we went back to the apartment, left the umbrella and yarn, and went back there for lunch. Just the place I like, sitting near a gurgling river, far enough from the TV (though I still heard what president did this morning). The choice of beers was below my criteria so I ordered a furniture, for which they didn't have the little pitchers, so I got a glass of mineral and a glass of wine (good graševina, though). Then the waiter brought a third glass and she did the honors to pour half of the water into it, and then wine into water.

After lunch went for a pee, and it was at the other end of the terrace, so had to pass the big tv poked in the middle of it. So I had to hear him, Vučić, two times fifteen seconds. Didn't quite spoil my lunch, but was just hard to stomach. What a voice, what a face, well everything.

Before and after this I successfully avoided the experience, limited it to single digits of seconds, and felt much better.

The roast was excellent, the skin just right and the meat roast through - I know why I ordered ribs, that's where it's the thinnest. There was a sort of loud gang of young folks behind her back, and it took me a rather long time to understand why I can't make out any sense from the few words that arose above the din. Bulgarians. Once I established the language it started making sense, but wasn't interested, and we were pretty much finished. Went back to the flat, I had a nap and she crocheted on the terrace.

After that, went for another stroll, this time around the other side of the river, then up the hill a bit, and then walked down the main street looking for any place where we can get a decent beer. Didn't like any of them - either music too loud or too wrong or wrong kind of beer - mostly carrying the programme of the two german firms who now own about 90% of the market and where all of their beers taste the same, regardless of it being called Stella Artois, Tuborg, Staropramen or just plain Lav or Jelen. So we went to the same place as yesterday, only this time we sat under the roof, not under an umbrella. Good we did so - the rain came later, and we left the umbrella in the room.

There was a soccer match on WC, and first I sat with my back to the screen. But when the pizza arrived I changed the seat, to not to see the two uniforms*, three tables away. I just sat so that a column was hiding the screen, so I was unaware of it until much later, when I shifted my chair away from the rain spatter. By that time there was perhaps ten minutes left, but I watched it for camera angles, light etc, just to have a taste how they do a live now. This seems to be the reason why basketball got so popular in the seventies - our then TV pretty much invented the way to cover it, with instant replays, closeups, faces clearly visible etc, so you saw humans writ large. At the same time, the lenses couldn't zoom that far to do the same for football, and the people were just scattered dots on the green. Now the cameras got better and cheaper, so the footbal looks well again. And regains popularity.

Made a bunch of good shots today, specially during the rain.

* fuckit, even the cops and military wear plaincloths off duty, only these priests are always in their outfits. I make exception for postmen and railway guys, don't mind them. The postal clerks wear no uniform, but them I can't stand, they pretend to be the enforcement.
