Yesterday at the yoga class they had a farewell party for Lena. She, Nina and I came; I was taking shots with Lena's little Fujica. The whole class came, sang, presented her with a gift, a bronze figure of an elephant. Prob'ly has some symbolic meaning attached. Whether this was the time when she got the diploma, or weeks ago when she actually earned it, I don't remember - the title is that of a yoga instructor. There were some snacks too, all fruit and grains, strictly vegetarian, of course.

Been with Ender and Nina to the DMV. The one on Independence had too much of a waiting crowd outside, and no shade, so we drove to Chesapeake. Crowd was half of that, in the shade. Nice cool morning. I forgot my license and everything in my fancy pants - two days ago when I was in the court with Go - and Nina almost wanted to turn around and come back on tuesday. But then we were already at the clerk's desk (the one giving out numbers), and I just asked whether they need IDs for both of us. Wasn't necessary, so I passed the ownership on the Matrix to Nina without a problem.

Go left for Seattle in the afternoon. We've sent a fresh loaf of homemade bread and the bag of dried Cayenne peppers, whatever remained of last year's crop, for Ricardo, he loves it hot, being Peruvian.

On the way back we dropped by Burlington (nicknamed Brljington) to get some bags, larger ones. So we did eleven years ago, but we did travel meanwhile, and the wheels on those were small and some zippers weak - eventually there was perhaps one still fully usable. So get new ones. The big ski bag was still okay, but Lufthansa wouldn't accept it, they have their format, limited by dimensions and mass.

So then there were five.

She found a 220-to-110V power adapter on ebay. We bought it, it weighs a couple of kilos, serious job.
