On sezam, someone heard a rumor that soon the bread may be rationed. The milk was hard to find already (we actually had a subscription with Milka, she'd bring a couple of canisters of raw milk weekly). This reminded me that just last week I saw a bunch of trucks with bosnian plates and uniformed crews in LebarProm.

We were using HIMEM v2.78 to be able to use the UMB... the 368 kilobytes between the 640K and one megabyte on 286 boxes. There were actually other drivers for extended XOR expanded memory (not both at the same time!... and it was the same memory anyway), and this one was a third way, but now done by m$ itself, and of course it had to have a different name, so upper memory blocks.

I downloaded NRoff for PC att whopping 33k of size, already tried one for atarist, and neither one of those came even close to RunOff on Vaha.

Around 15th, Sloba was visiting. The regular lunch was at the hotel. The sanitary inspection checks on their kitchen more or less once a year, but now it's the same protocol as when Milanko Renovica* (I guess the last prime minister of SFRY who did) was visiting: at least two sanitary inspectors are invited as guests. Pretty much to try out the dishes first, so if there's any poisoning... Such special checks accidentally overlap with visits of bigwigs.

She wasn't in any danger of being a candidate for this, didn't even have to invent an excuse - the maternity leave for the third kid is two years. (... 39 words...)

* the news reading personnel had such an accent that we firmly held his name to be Milan Korenovica (koren = root). Vlastimir even asked "when is that Korenović coming?".
