Smetovački

(Person, Yugoslavia)

Three brothers, all directors somewhere. The first one had two sons (Zova and the younger M.). He was the director of šećerana in the seventies. His life went fine until the fiasco with Zova's diploma.

The second was something in the bank or such. Two daughters, V. and Đ. Both graduated law. The older married one of the Čestić twins (qv). The younger one is my age, was in that girls' class (where Sofija was classmaster). They were both famed as great chicks, which is a matter of opinion.

When the sanitary inspectors rebeled, by the end of nineties, against being forced to pass state exam, because they already did that as doctors, Đ. was representing them. They lost the case, she didn't charge.

Of third brother I know nothing, except that he was also a director somewhere.

Zaka is somehow related to them, probably by female line, different surname.

The colleague whose job I substituted for while she was on maternity leave, in 13., had two surnames, the second being this. Whether she married a son of the third brother, I wouldn't know.
