In the afternoon we went to Čankovo and picked some cherries, strawberries. The apple by the entrance, where I cut off the dry top half, is recovering nicely and... why did the old folks have to park roses around it, no matter how gorgeous and pretty they are, how do we pick the apple? As early as by the time we hung the diapers to dry on the clothesline, we learned to hate when the roses are along a walkway.

She brought a blender and cooked up some smoothie with nettle and some other plant, and sprayed the potatoes against the colorado beetle.

The next day, we were at Surčin. Go, Stanley and Neša arrived. The reception committee was we two, Lena and Zlija. On the way home we had to stop by dad's first, he just had to see his grandgrandson. Neša was very nervous, lacking sleep and rest after so many hours on planes and airports, and this was about the last time I allowed dad to make a schedule for our guests. From now on, he'll have to stick to our schedule.

Nina sent a picture with her birthday cake. Five candles suffice, considering them binary. 11110B=30D.

On 31st we fired up the barbecue, the thin job dad gave us. Neša drooled all over his chin and neck when he had a taste of ćevapčići. Like granddad, like grandson.

But this slim barbecue will have to be replaced with something more serious, with a lid, like the one we had over there.

Stanley got into the swing with grilling the serbian way, so I didn't have to do everything myself. He's still wearing his yugo t-shirt, what with that late seventies logo design.
