Took Lena to zelenozvono (north end, not theatre) for Deda Mraz, i.e. Grandpa Frost. Avai was paying for the juices and pogačice or whatever they had, of course, allegedly via our workers' union, which existed only on paper. The usual - some amateur actors would recite, sing and act, then kids would be prompted to take the stage one by one and then receive their gift.
Nobody else in the office had kids of appropriate age; I guess Brlja's were too small to be present there. Met only Veca with her daughter, who was, I'd say, ten at the time, which is the upper limit, this was her last Deda Mraz.
And, ah, just writing this I found that I did some work on TaxiSys today, messed a bit with the main procedure. I thought I lost the app completely, but it was just mislaid, under F:\RAD\APP\MACA\XSY\ - why did I put that under a directory of a customer with whom I had no contact at all, she was Brlja's, and then under such a codename... Perhaps I was just trying to hide it from myself. Looking at the dates on the files, the preceding week was when I did most of the programming on it, and today I just generated a bunch of stuff, or packed the tables, there are so many of them being touched before 9:00. Perhaps I said I'd be working from home, we did that from time to time, and I guess there'd be very little field work on monday to wednesday, the latter being the day of doček.
Approximately these months was the time when I started having haemorrhoids (or whatever the spells, we say hemoroid). Well well, ain't this a bit early, I'm only fortytwo. Or was it because of the general situation - the firm is not too good, there's work but money scarce, kids are growing, being a self-exploited capitalist isn't as good as advertised... Not that it hurt unbearably, it would come and go and come back. Less pain when sitting down, more when getting up.
Also, the problem with the skin on my fingers going stiff, on the thumb, inwards side of index, top joint of middle finger, which would then break, there'd be a little blood visible but not dripping, then it would heal, dry, fall off, reappear elsewhere. Coming to think that our doctors aren't so stupid when they say it's all on nerve basis.
