01-XI-2007.

Just yesterday, Lena came quite unhappy from school. She was offered a three week trip to Japan, everything paid, provided via some connections of her sensei. And of course we had to turn the offer down, because in the best case she'd be stranded in Tokyo and not allowed to return here. We still have no green card (though it isn't green anymore, it's the same drab krmkast* banana color just like our IDs used to be in the seventies. It's just that they got the laminating right and the picture is in color, printed inside - not glued like we used to have), and our visas expired two years ago.

We've volunteered to chaperon Lena's school trip to the museum. As far as I know, a chaperone is not just an attendant, it's a person attached to a young courting couple, while they are getting to know each other, in charge of not letting them know each other from too small a distance.

This was the only time that I remember that we had a ride on a school bus. Of course, I couldn't resist taking this shot, the mirror is so optically good and clean, being washed daily (aka „on an everydaily basis“).

Seen some nice examples of renaissance, rococo etc. The trip is dedicated to the two foreign languages she learns, french and japanese, and she's in the french group this time. The sensei was also there, and true to her ninja nature, she'd appear behind your back when you least expect her.

It's a Chrysler museum, probably because it was built by one of the 2nd generation of the owners of the company. The location is perfect, were it not for the excess space and the style of the surrounding buildings - slats and clapboard, dressed in some stone or half brick - it could almost pass for any european port.

These batik banners impressed me, someone had the artful guts to intervene in space of the lobby. Specially the dance of the light, under the skylight.

Meanwhile, Delta Siti was opened in Novi Beograd.
