An old master of Fox, whom I never met. We used to learn OOP from the articles on his website, or what of his books were available for download. We printed them and tried to understand.
For a few months, by the end of 2002, he was the project boss at eHosp... actually still is, it's me that's gone. He once called to tell me that my code is neat - he needed to steal some pieces, and had an easy time trying to understand what I'm doing, because the naming was exactly proper and the breakdown of the code into pieces was exactly along the responsibility lines. He just had to tell me that he rarely has the pleasure to dive into someone else's code and find everything to his satisfaction.
He also wrote me a letter of recommendation a few months later, when I needed it for Orion.
News, january 2012: he is now a she. Wife and three kids are probably grown up now and go their own ways. Now appears on UA under the new name, and new picture, without the beard.
He died as a she some time around 2016 or so.
