Still no DSL and I'm not sure we even had the phone by this day. We found Big Lots and bought a couple of small desks for the two sewing machines. Flimsy jobs that barely held, these would do nicely as long as nobody tries to load anything heavy on them, but good enough for 20$ apiece. These went into our bedroom, while my old desk went into Lena's and the big desk with my computer and the laptop from Orion took a nearly central place in the big room, facing the big terrace door.

Lit from below, so the rough job is obvious.

Took pictures of everything that was out of order - the terrace door which won't close without applying a lot of extra force, and even then only with inserting a spike into a hole that was drilled there; some closet doors were bent; there was a badly patched hole in the wall and on the door of the water heater and AC closet; the wallpaper was torn in a couple of places; the tub stopper mechanism was dangling and there was nothing to actually stop the tub.

I resumed work as best I could. Luckily, I was doing a big bunch of dialogs for taking parameters for reports - something to do with the date intervals, as the dialog stated "from date - to date" but which actually had to capture the whole of the end date, until 23:59, so I had to add a day and subtract a second on each of them before passing the end date (actually, a datetime) to the reporting engine. There were about forty of those, so I had a lot to do.
