Nothing much... Nina came with Ender and for the first time brought his little daughter, Eleese. Nice kid. OK, I'm ready to be a grandfather, whenever any of them decide :).

We just decided to skip the hotel when we go to Undersville next friday - by nightfall, we'll own a house there, may as well sleep in it. We have a tent, we can use it to keep any insects away. Bought sleeping bags, a crank-up 15 LED light/radio, little foxtail saw and a machete to clear up the shrubs there and finally see that rear wall and maybe find a path down into the creek.

I'm pleased to be so giddy... the life has become nearly boring. Now this promises a few interesting years, with lots of stuff to do, and the results of the effort will be readily usable. One of main reasons I left teaching - you rarely see any results, unless they are zero, that you see right away. Programming is much better, but most of the time you do things that just a few others can use and appreciate, and you see the results first. Making a house to live in is for anyone. You can try it right away and see for yourself.

On 12th, Lena's new nokla E71 arrived. She's got her first smartphone now, can go web, navigate, play music, send emails, take pictures at decent resolution, has a real keyboard so she doesn't have to type every c as 222 etc etc.
