A weird place, previously a german colonized habitat, then after WWII these were expelled and were replaced with colonists from Herzegovina. Nobody else around, so they had the community but their habits were off-world. To add to the usual mistakes and hard habits that happened to other montagnari who'd come to live as flatlander peasants, they were alone and left to their own habits and ways of thinking.
