Wonderful day. Went to the garden and spent the whole day there. Light breeze, sunshine. I went on with my švorceniger, cutting down the weeds (now thigh high in the back orchard), dead branches, even some dead trees. With the disco saw mounted instead of the three-blade cutter it goes much better. Doesn't start that easy, don't see how I can replace the spark plug, there must be some trick to taking the cable off (yes, use a screwdriver as a lever, I asked in a shop and it worked, just 2-3 weeks after this). Tried a few but it won't budge. Actually this morning I tried to buy a new spark plug, as well as a new switch for the electric (they didn't have one, but when they had it cost 2200... and a new mower costs 7000) and better set of wheels for the gasoline mower - the rear right stands askew and actually hampers movement. They didn't have any of that in the shop - told me to go to the other one down the street, but it's the busiest street in town and this guy's on the left. So, tomorrow.

Dismantled the switch on the electric and guess what, the plastic bit which should push another plastic bit to actually press the switch... is too narrow. So it sometimes falls on the side, and this is why bending the lever to the right worked - it pushes it to the other side. Solved that one by winding a thin rubber band around the bit a couple of turns to make it thicker. But the other one is tougher to solve - the motor turns a bit, with a start-stop sound, and then it stops and won't budge. I guess how the coils were burned. She did say she kind of saw the magic smoke leave the machine.

So I had the other electric mower, the one we bought for the old house when dad's old mower stopped working. That one has developed a bug - the cable keeps falling out. Doesn't have the hook to hold it in place like the old one did, and seems to hold on friction alone. However, the long cable seems to be chinese junk, the terminals get really hot and then it all loosens. Solved that one with another rubber band. Which then didn't last, so I replaced it with a better one, the likes of which I use to tie my hair into a ponytail. That holds.

We lunched... half from home, half from the spot. We brought bread, bacon and eggs, the green onions grow here. Lunch of champions.

Note the color of the yolks. I didn't mess with the colors on this picture, it's as it was shot. Anyone who compared these with industrial ones was just flabberghasted. This is eggs as they once were. It's not that the hens forgot how to make them, it's how you keep them and what you feed them.
