The grass trimmer, Villager (aka peasant), supposedly chinese junk but actually quite sturdy and seems to last forever. The things which broke so far (eight years) are the plastic buckle on the straps (which I improvised with wire, works far longer than the original) and the sponge on the left handlebar. After five years it was hard to start, but then I went and got a new spark plug. I'm not using the string, but the three-sided steel cutter. And even that is not the one that came with it, bought a couple of bigger ones, thicker, at their repair shop. Have a grinder at hand and sharpen them annually.
She said I looked like the terminator with those straps on, hence the name.
The peasant served 2012 until 2020 and then died. Can't even pull its starter. Then in Lidl we got something Parkside, with add-ons - has a chainsaw for branches, and a hedge trimmer, and an extra length of tube to extend the rod. Worked for two seasons and just croaked, started leaking fuel through the exhaust. There's no repair network for it, it's designed to be replaced within warranty or you get money back - majstor Mile thus always has a new grinder - so I got me a third one, by Hyundai, cost the same 20000 but is stronger, a 1,4 KW engine instead of the standard 0,9, starts, goes. That's where I got lucky, knock on wood.
