Nina is off the clock for five days now, and we all feel the calm spreading.

The weather is still too good for this time of year, the third Miholjsko summer is just as good as september. In the morning we walked the girls to Lidl (bought a few things, whatever can fit into the bags under the stroller), then to the nearly empty bus station (aka busodrome) which is their favorite playground. They can scream and run and climb to the platform near the entrance all they like.

We took the twins to another bike ride, first to near Lesnina, just the other side of the square, where the serekeš is - I'm lifting my monthly allowance. Which is a joke, of course, there's no allowance. I'm just taking 58000 RSD at a time (which is just below 500€, the daily ATM limit we set nine years ago). There's also the kiosk where I can add money to my phone (new provider, new phone - I bought a Nokia c7 just a couple of weeks ago, looking for the best last Symbian I could find). She rides to the end of the street and then crosses the street with the pedestrians; I take a shortcut through the bus stop, so we meet frontally on the wide sidewalk near the serekeš. The girls greet each other wildly :).

The pocket and phone refilled, we take off to the city. Yet another bit of splashing by the fountain, a little pizza and two lemonades from vodotoranj's ground floor burek shop. The same space once held queues in the old city bank, then the OTP bank, then some french bank (or are they next door, prob'ly so), then some short lived fancy pub.

On the štrafta we meet Sale with his Anđa, still not any smarter. She's at least gray, an he mostly also is. Otherwise they look the same, a bit worn and a bit upholstered, but not much, there's no plumpness nor tout skin, just a layer of extra tissue under the skin.

The other kids are overdressed, the old serbian fear of cold and specially draft. They envy the girls for being allowed to play with water so late in october.

On 27th we visited Silvija and Dragan, for dinner. It's her birthday, so instead of making one big party, they chopped it into two or three smaller ones (the better, we didn't have to meet madam mother). Though it can't be boring with six kids in the apartment, the athmosphere was somewhat forced, Silvija simply is not looking well at all, all those meds make her sleepy, zombified. Her belly is large, opiates, constipation. New wig now, shorter.
