žiri

Same word as jury, probably transliterated straight from french, but has a different meaning (and pronunciation, goes like zhi-rry) here. The žiri is a panel of experts who oversee a contest - be it an art or entertainment festival, performers competition, a quiz or a beauty pageant.

The word for jury is porota; a juror is a porotnik (we use them suffixes, don't we).
