A mechanic, specialized in little trikes for invalids. These had two wheels and a door in the front, and a thicker yet smaller drive wheel in the back, powered by a motorcycle engine. The roof was cloth, side and windows plastic, only the front window was glass. These had all kinds of custom controls, suited to each driver's invalidity. He once had one who asked for the pedals to be switched around, and while testing the thing he "nearly ended on top of the power line pole".
Generally a funny guy, always ready to laugh or make laugh. His wife was a cute plump lady, not too big, I assume a seamstress but not quite sure. They tried to make their lives as high styled as possible, traveling as much and as far as possible. He was probably making some decent money on the side, just like any honest majstor in socialism did.
