Going home. Serious snow. While we were buying bread at some novogradnja (Gemenc too is, just like all of Hungary and other socialist countries, full of those and they all look the same) - last bit of shopping before taking off - we saw a horsedrawn sled with kids wrapped in blankets, jinglebells and the whole setup. Someone was keeping all that for a day like this.

The roads were slippery, but Vanji's corolla was in its prime, and he probably had good tires, except that he slipped visibly... when he was negotiating the last curve before getting into my set of streets. That curve has an outward slope, which we aborigines know, he's from the other end of town.

This is, more or less, how our gate looked at the time. We'll put up a proper gate two years later.

I see we already had the gas pipeline (the yellow tube next to the power meter) but not the gas meter nor the inhouse pipeline. We'll do that next year. This and previous winter we burned coal.
