Those are goose eggs.

Those are goose eggs.

In the morning we (with Lena) went to Čurda, to visit her cow, aka Đenđi, to buy some honey. She's got just a few years to retirement, three I think, keeps private lessons too, hungarian language being suddenly popular since „have ancestors in K&K, speak hungarian“ became a sufficient condition to get hungarian citizenship, which then means free access to the EU's labor market. We could have done that, but what for, this one citizenship is too much already.

Her husband is a goodie, real Lala, and I'm sure he's got his own reasons to be on good terms with her, none of my business. I see him keeping to himself, smiling a lot, casting ironic eyes at her back and letting the matters take their course. He's the one who makes honey, i.e. he keeps the bees, spends a lot of time away, taking the bees to graze in the fields, or milling around them in the backyard. We came to buy once more, couple of kilos then, and then we understood that we consume less than one kilo a year. And then others started bringing us honey. I'm writing this in 2021 and one of the jars is still not empty.

Their dog is interesting, Fürge, swift, ready, brisk. Basically, barks some just to gain attention, then turns on its back and waits to be scratched.

At home, Donald caught a magpie. Or found one that was shot from an air gun. Didn't eat it, not that we saw, just played with it for a while. Didn't see what happened later, because then we took Lena to Čankovo and made more brandy. She took her sketchpad and made more drawings. Her classes should start on monday, but won't, because the school is on strike, with probably most of the university. This is regular.

Judging by this shot, the pump is connected and we have regular water, so we didn't have to pump it manually to cool the condenser. That's for intake; the overflow we haven't quite solved yet, so we put these two fake barrels, actually plastic linings which used to be in metal barrels, and collected warm water in them, redirecting the flow through my favorite trick, used bike tyre. I didn't want to create a big puddle, lest the mud makes everything dirty. In later years, just a few meters of hose would take this water far enough.

On the Firriver front, few emails (not for me!) even though it's a weekend. Someone put the wrong zip code into a mailmerge template and wants someone on our side to put it straight. They still don't get it that they can edit these templates themselves.
