Yesterday trial run of conversion for yet another big belgian clinic. Jan asked whether I could make it run on his server, just to try to compare the speed there versus what I have at home. For the other belgian clinic, it took 17 minutes on the server, on my box 12, so that server ain't so bad... when we consider that in the zmajček I have a processor from 4 years ago.

For something else, possibly in the matter of that clinic in Johannesburg, I write something that will use json, I see that I touched something in the json to object converter, by Rick Strahl, I guess there was a tiny bug there. By dusk, with David, about how we stand with Empyria, said I have a countryman there, a Macedonian, so I quickly and without snags set up a demo database for them, so they can play as they please.

In the afternoon we even managed to grout the tiles in the room, so at least we have one spare room. The plan is that they get the yellow room, and we two keep the blue one.

At 22:29 Nina reported on skype, said their first flight was half an hour late, so they just ran throught the IAD and then headed straight to the toilet. Raja liked running through the airport, but when it came to just waiting somewhere, he immediately wanted to go home.

In the morning Nina was on skype again, said they had breakfast and now wait the next flight.

We were at the airport already around 11, and had to wait a lot. As usual, they exit the last, I don't know how they manage to never be among the first.

So we were acquainted with our third grandchild. Violet is really sweet and chubby, firm, stocky legs, rounded from all sides, and goes through two hundred faces per hour. For just that first afternoon I made a heap of shots, and it still seems that I could have done more.

Raja has grown nicely, a cute little boy. Of course he's tanned, that's those genes, two hours in the sun and he's tanned.

Talked with Suez in the afternoon, while the guests slept. The last version of skype has totally fucked up my microphone settings, it's now using the third microphone which I don't have... or its settings. The microphone boost got lost, and took me a while to find there that is set up, after so many years, fuck the m$, every now and then some update unsets something I set a long time ago, and then go remember where it was. And often remembering is of no use at all, because they moved things around. It was bad enough while skype and windowses were made by different firms, now since they're from the same one it got much worse.

Spoke with Go and Neša in the evening. He's already learning how to draw on a tablet.

Next day we fit Ender with a big t-shirt with „29. days of beer“ logo. Lena came and we had a proper lunch, with soup, pohovano, mushroom sauce, cabbage salad, pureé (aka mashed potatoes). Checked our impression with a level head... heads, and it confirmed our suspicion: Lena is now officially taller than Nina too.

The keyboard on my nokla is worn out enough that the paint on the top row of keys came off. They are still readable, just because there are two symbols on them, and the light shines through a hole between them.

On twonyfirst we went to Springfield. As far as I can see we didn't visit this place so far, I just hate these ugly dark gray cubes, but then the best place where you can't see it is right in front of it, where you look at everything else. We sat outside, on the terrace, Raja practiced blowing out the lighter flame, Violet assembled another thousand faces, I made lots of shots, including during the walk there and back. They have laško črno beer, which we didn't meet since 22-VII-1976., and we didn't forget it, and look, it's just as good as it once was.
