Maša Bezuhovski

(Person, USSR)

A programmer in Lenjingrad, then in Newyork. Got married there, had a son, son grew, started appearing on UA under her name, even started seriously to write messages like a programmer, each one of them beginning with „I have a form“.

Then she divorced, then moved to New Jersey, went through various phases, somehow managed to snap out of that by remembering that she's a Jew after all. Granny gave a dinar...* It seems she was undergoing an intensive training course in jewishness, which couldn't be unnoticed in her posts.

Then she went into being hyperactive on the forum, surpassing over time all of us (except Sergey himself and maybe Alphonse) by message count. She was even a moderator for a while, I even caught her correcting the Amers' typos or spelling, I have a screenshot of a case when the message in the list has one title, and when you open it it has a corrected one. She also corrected her name at the time, no more Maša, Marcia now, though a few of us still keep her in original.

The last I remember was that she somehow managed to step on Branovs's toes, something about passing the messages from UA to another forum, where she felt normal that the communal knowledge be shared, while the two insisted on some ownership over what they wrote (as if they never stole ideas from others, but „that's different“, what's yours is also mine, what's mine I won't give). In two-three days it escalated to the point where they tried to convince everyone that she was the shame of jewishness and that she won't find work again.

But she did find it, and, if not I'm mistaken, exactly my position in Orion, at a later time when they may have shaken the bank's dicate away and started hiring again.
