Yesterday we bought the next PC for Lena, because she's still using what we first bought five years ago. Of cours, on an eBay bidding, for 364 (with shipping and insurance), it should arrive in about a week. Machine better than mine. There'll be the expense for the monitor, but we can get that in a regular shop.

The snow which fell the evening when Nina got on her trip, thawed quickly; the one which fell yesterday may endure until tomorrow, since the sky cleared this night and we had frost (all of -1°, but counts as -5 with the wind). Watching seagulls circling above the playground all day - looks a bit weird, seagulls on snow.
And yes, we treated Lena too last night, a see dee player and jeans, and two of us jeans as well. At school teacher asked „who celebrates Christmas?“ - and all raised [their] hands except Lena. Then someone asked „then do you really get no presents?“, to which someone shot back „with what her mom sews and the cool bags she makes, it's more than compensated“ :).
To the shopping we went yesterday around nineteen, while it was still snowing, and then it stopped while we were in the shop. We counted on this being the proper time to go, because a couple of hours later it will freeze and havoc will ensue. And really, in the 23:00 news they said the police can't come out for each call, there are too many fender benders and upended cars. On each overpass it says „bridge freezes before highway“, but it says so all year and nobody ever notices that anymore; the road may look dry while actually covered with black ice, and people just slide out. The southerners, of course, have no clue how to drive on snow and ice.
David went for winter vacation, a week in Nancy (in France - Belgium is not a winter sports country), so I'm somehow on vacation as well. Though, I'll still be working, but nobody there to nag me while doing so :). I see I've picked a lot of stuff for Gary these days - guests, vendors, all kinds of stuff. Even did this prototype of background for the form, because rocknroll... we don't want any grays here, rock it, man.
