His parents were of mixed origins. Has an older sister. Practiced wrestling to the point where his ears were soft like lettuce, and his voice would suddenly jump an octave or two, because his neck muscles were too much and his vocal chords would work under funny conditions. Took him a couple of decades (and about 20kg of extra weight) to get rid of that.
His dad was a general mechanical tech, had a workshop in the back. He worked in Germany for quite a while, and sometimes came with a new car, new toys, a sports bike and other miracles. Son also picked out some of his skills, so we sometimes spent a lot of time in the workshop, forging steel arrows or making a groove in his ice skates.
We sort of lost track of each other during high school, even though he lived next door. He was (still is) a year older than I, and went off to agricultural school, then to some two-year college. We met again on kinta - turned out we had girlfriends in the same street. It was a guy thing on our end, if you had to walk back less than 5km, you have done nothing. They married, had kid(s?) and eventually divorced, when he became an entrepreneur and married his secretary. I never saw her, my parents say she's sweet.
Last I heard, his son inherited the company, still doing well.
