Three days ago, with SoniBoj (of oldwave), how to evade the Explorer of the windowses. He said „at the moment I'm on LiteStep for the third time in [my] life and dislike it again“. Yeah, pall, the bbLean... „works for me. If you find where you can config having two-three permanent menus on the screen (what a toolbar used to do), let me know. It forgets them when I boot, and they're so simple to set up again that I can't be bothered to find a way. I anyway boot now only when I install something - there's no more of the machine being like frozen, you wait for 20-30 seconds, starts ploughing the disk, goes around refreshing the ikonostas and then where were we. It's now become obvious that NJEksploder is refreshihg the icons cache etc...“ Well yeah, fuck the m$ and how they imagine file management and system menus. Gets worse every time.

Found http://starwreck.com/ and had to see it. I didn't expect I'd understand much of finnish language, even with it being somehow related to hungarian, but no - I understood a total of one word, and even that one isn't quite finnish. Even less I expected that all that was done in two rooms and the empty halls of a school. Fuckin geniuses :).
Applied to a job on Dice, a 4-month stint, but it was just fun at my CV-polishing and adjustment skills. Even now, 9 years later (when I write this), I look soo good in that text. Well, perhaps I was that good at the time. Not that I'm much worse now... it's just that I can't make myself sound so eager and ready.
On UA:
I DID eat one burger, during my first 12 hours in the States, while I was still a tourist (having joined the local working class the very next morning). It was as expected - the meat was OK, the salad stuff around it was nice, the cheese was the reprocessed cheese leftovers, the bun was spongy and sticking to teeth. Accidentally, I had a dairy plant and a city bakery as customers back home, both of which were supplying the Mc there, so I knew the cheese and the bun beforehand. The cheese was about the worst they had - believe me, I've tried everything they had over the years, the girls kept bringing samples from their mess hall. Same for the bun - it's too American. Any pastry that sticks to your teeth is simply below the bar in Serbian terms.
I ate another burger in Houston (TX), but that was a complete dinner. It was the standard elephant-ear size, but the plate was large enough to accommodate the fries, salad etc. That was good.
