19-VII-2019.: Pizza with Štajger

Yesterday we took the twins to Springfield. Don't know whether this was when we noticed the new girl (later known as Vesna), or was it M, the granddaughter of our neighbor across and two left, the grumpy guy. They were switching shifts, so in the following months we'd see one of them, sometimes both, when there was a birthday party ahead - this is a rođendaonica. We had pizza and Steiger dark, and the twins managed to tip her glass into the plate. Pizza soaked with dark beer is not bad at all. Extra points for Steiger being a bit sweet and less bitter.

Nina’s report from the latest meeting on portal2.0 is discouraging. On one set of meetings (for the interfaces) both Norman, Bruce and at least one more keep airing their complaints on how nothing is getting done right, how decisions are made in absence of reality… Then on this meeting Bruce is supposed to deliver a plan for the doctors’ portal, which he could not because he wasn’t given any specs. Briyesh said he was offended by this, because he wrote the document and now this document is described as content free. Which it probably is – while the specs for portal2.0 so far were “do what 1.5 was doing (and take as much code from it as you can)”, this now takes some serious thinking and planning and plain old design. Now Bruce was supposed to do the whole design from some vague description, then to split it into tasks with precise specs for each, and assign it to people who’d do them, then track the development and testing, because he’s the project manager. Which, IMO, shows how much is Briyesh in the dark here, he’s unclear on the difference between a project designer and a project manager.
