Lena is now officially taller than mom. I took a picture of them with a level laid on their heads, and the bubble was on Lena's side.

The cucumber in the old toilet seat grows nicely. She took a cucumber from the groceries and showed it to the plant, as a role model.

I announced to Škrba that I'd be arriving for a couple of days, which he, of course, forwarded to the oldwave... Someone, obviously new to the group, not knowing me, who is that sGradlj guy and what's he [like]... Gets this:

Old man of sezam, one of the foundation layers for the oldwave group, my neighbor Zrenjaniner. Vintage 1955, old softveraš, fox guru. By means of one discussion group on the Internet, found himself in the USA with a job described as „guru“ (:. Momentarily in the phase of repaying the other half of the loan for the house he bought in Virginia Beach. Works as a telecommie for a NY firm which deals in cutting and selling diamonds, some heavyweight Hassids who don't even know how much money they have.

The dežurni tonguester* on sezam, man of spirit that one seeks with a candle, good friend to many present here. Author of a few exceptional SF stories, one was published in Sirius. More on sGradlj.com (: By his own statement, a man who lives with four natural blondes ((: Albeit, the oldest daighter graduated graphic design and lives with some guy in Richmond; the middle is halfway through the software engineering studies, and the youngest finished fifth of elementary. The operative plan is to keep it up until retiring in America, then return to zrenjanin and finish building the house with which he was stuck during the unhappy years. The house in America he'd rent and eke a living out of the pension and rent - a smart guy.

The Sredljević family went to America somewhere in early 1999. By now Go was [here] once and Nina twice, and the rest of the family not once. If I am not mistaken, because the man is just now divulging the details of the coming, this time he'll bring his wife and youngest daughter. I'm impatient to finally see him.

A couple of corrections - Go was not visiting home yet; Zeta has only one semester left. As for the house in Zrenjanin, he's right to an extent. We did pronounce it finished, in the sense that it was already possible to live in it, but truth be told, there's a lot more to be done on it. As he'd say, „for a fool, there's always work“.

* 'jezik' means both tongue and language; 'jezičar' would be a linguist, but 'jezičara' (the word actually used in serbian text and often in the context of my language dealings) is a woman with a long tongue, i.e. always having something (nasty) to say.
