The trip to Hungary (1st-3rd) was so-so. She's grown up but hasn't acquired womanly curves yet. We ended up not having as much money as we thought we'd have - hence no movie camera for me. Also mom was in a bad mood so we didn't go swimming. At least I had luxurious wet dreams, though I don't remember whether the word 'wet' would seriously apply. Perhaps next year.
The gang from the corner was at Tiganjica at the time, but I wasn't even notified. We did go to the movie again, with the same innuendos as usual.
The municipal math competition was today. I was second, scoring 9 out of 25. The guy from 8th grade did the same, scoring 13. Ivka was mad (probably because the tasks included stuff she wasn't informed of, and which was beyond the curriculum anyway).
Later in the week we went, with the school, to watch Bondarčuk's "War and peace", the grand two-parter. Of which I remember just a few scenes, no matter how magnificent it was. I was sitting with Rencika, Tejka, Duca and a few guys from the class, and that's what mattered. Next row, Bosa, Oli Boj.
- How long was this film in the making?
- Dunno. A year maybe.
- Three years, and maybe it's still not finished. Have you seen it to the end? Huh? Then how do you know, maybe it's still being shot.
8th. My movie, however, failed. In the lab. That's why I remember so little - just a couple of scenes with Đica where she's holding the ball. The rest is gone. I still had a plan to redo it, with Oli Boj this time. Went to the school in the afternoon (10th) to get a book from this girl from kino sekcija, and watched rehearsals for the slet. Oli Boj was there of course, lots of fun etc. At some point the whole chorus line was supposed to crouch, but they did it too suddenly and ended on their butts.
In the evening went with Kale to ruža (rare thing, he wasn't into that place). Met Rencika, Dragana, Zvojko, Gradivoj, Džok, few other guys. Kale came up with his x-sport bicycle, that everyone wanted to ride, Rencika first. Two rounds and we ask how many trashcans did she topple - because she had to ask for instructions on how to ride that. Stayed until around 21:00.
The competitions begin soon - on 11th I have the theory/tests in cine technics, so I won't have to go to the wedding of auntie Janja. That wedding has already cost enough money, discussion, nerve.
(Decades later, when I reshot all those old negatives, I noticed that dad also didn't waste too many frames there, less than ten altogether. And the weird thing is that not on one among those shots I can find anyone laughing. Not even a single smile. Spooky.)
