Customer of Avai until some time in '97 or so, when we took Itebej from DBA and they took this from us. I still think we came out better off.
It was owned by two brothers, one crazier than the other. They did everything - retail, wholesale, trucking, cooperation with peasants, gas stations, restaurant. And each of those lasted for a while. I guess part of their variable luck came from their size - they were too successful at times, and probably were noticed by this mafia or other. Once one of their Mercedeses got riddled with bullets.
It was cool, though, drinking a long capuccino, sitting on a barstool and doing some on-the-spot adjustment on BarSys, a posh restaurant around me and the view over the green plains extending to infinity.
Passing through their village in 2010, I noticed that the cooperation building's big lawn is waist high in weeds, the gas station doesn't seem to work, the wheat storage is wide open, and there's no sign of their presence. Scarce on the web too.
Checked now again (2021) and they only have that same pump (works again) and the one in my wider area (finally works, after 20 years).
