It's Lena's birthday, but we couldn't put up any larger celebration, because, fuckit, bombing is ongoing. True, we aren't targeted, so far. Still, there's a shot where she blows the seven candles. The table wasn't rich at all, just the empty plates from lunch and a vial of curry.

And may it be known that the USA never signed the convention which prohibits cluster bombs. Someone managed to take this shot when one exploded in Niš, it seems in front of a pharmacy.

The next morning we learned that these have bombed, last night, the SUP (police HQ), ministry of defense in Kneza Miloša, hotel Jugoslavija, allegedly Arkan was there, and that they have hit the chinese embassy on Novi Beograd. The fourth wave bombed Avala, Resnik and Batajnica.

The Klempavi Klingonac (flap-eared Klingon), as some on sezam called Clinton, appologized later, mistake, fuckit, it happens. Acttually, the SDPR Jugoimport was nearby, a state enterprise in charge of weapons trade. The Cia boss later claimed that this was the only case when they organized the target acquisition. It seems that matching the satellite imagery with maps wasn't the most precise, NATO wasn't even consulted, the Amers did this on their own, someone in the Cia got fired over this... Later some investigations claimed this was intentional, as Cia considered the embassy a cover for FRY army communication centre. Then NYT found that there was no evidence of intention, it's just that the embassy was listed, in their do-not-bomb list (schools, hospitals, churches), under its old address.

The matter was concluded in some official investigation between the Cia and DoD, and „targets were established based on an outdated map“.

On UA, with James...

But I have always wondered just why it is that the factors involved in the calculations are not widely disseminated and discussed especially by the media. Sure looks like one of those "taboo" subjects, despite protestations that there is no such thing in our free speech world.

There's one special form of inflation you've never heard of, probably. It's when nothing is getting more expensive, and it costs you a lot.

This may sound confusing, but imagine they invented a new fee for some things which were always for free, and these things actually don't exist - you just give out some money and get nothing for it. A fine example of this is a fee which was charged of those companies and shops which filed a request to calculate their salaries old way for two months more (new way meant you pay full taxes though you're paying only half salary). All the requests were turned down, but calculate something in the range of a hundred thousand of companies, 5$ each... paid for nothing.

These things never get into "consumer basket", and the government can claim the inflation is tamed.
