24-I-2013.

Long evening in town. We first parked on Žitni, because we were looking to buy some sneakers for Ender. He somehow failed to comprehend how much colder it will be here, so he brought no footwear more serious than flipflops. A Virginian though he is, and it's never cold enough, let's not take that too far. On the Žitni itself I made even three good autopatches, but let's stay on these two.

This one encompasses 270°. The missing quarter is an old house with a once paintshop, now a fashion store, some Modus, (... 8 words...).

We (all, including Lena) then went to visit Silvija and Dragan, to see Jagoda. Cute baby, serene and curious. They're renting an apartment in a novogradnja near the overpass, this side. Neatly put together, feels cozy and well settled.

Then we went for a pizza, in the farther of the two adjacent joints in the street beyond pinovavila. Cute ambience, what with subdued burgundy walls and upholstery done, oh the coincidence, in the same cloth as our chairs.

On twentysixth we took Raja in the morning to a theatre, not quite puppet, the actors were in plain sight. Raja didn't get it at all, but then, truth be told, Ender also didn't. After the show (whole? don't think so, for the first attempt half an hour suffices) we, of course, went to Prleski for cakes.

The building in the middle of the main street, where once Udarnik's shop (socks factory) was, is now dangerous, vacated and fenced out. The middle third of the roof collapsed. It being protected by the state as cultural heritage, any reconstruction requires serious paperwork, and since it was restituted to its owner('s descendant)s, these now have neither will nor time nor money to do anything about it, and also lack any will to give a fuck to sit together and see what to do. So the matter remains unresolved until further.

In the evening Ender and I went to a brzožder on the magistral, and waited for pljeskavice to be roasted, then took them home for dinner.

On 29th we went to visit Arpi. Dragan and Silvija and Jagoda were there, and Višnja and her son. Sat, talked. Then went to that same pizzeria again (actually, picerija, no matter how much they try to have an italian name outside), this time for a full evening. Raja had the run of the place, we were about the only guests, and the owner lady (or owner's daughter) had fun with him. Of course, he went on rolling on the floor, which incited the serbian fear in them (the #2, of cold concrete) so they found him a pillow to lie on.

Not the first nor the last time for him to charm female staff where we dine.
