The košava is a tad weaker today. Tried to go to detelina to get food for hens and cats, but they're closed - extraordinary state in the municipality. Also didn't get the meat, there were at least five people waiting outside (with masks, keeping distance). They seem to be as slow as always, even now that they've doubled the space - for once, they expanded into the space vacated by a betting joint, usually it's the other way around. The girls were with us in the car, so I just drove on, without even trying to stop and maneuver a u-turn or swallow tail turn, and almost got lost, because I forgot where I left the usual way and all the streets look the same. Our area has that effect. When we returned to the known turf, we were about 300m more north than we expected (yep, she had the same illusion as I did). Bought just knjaz and ramen (now all four eat that) in the supermarket and drove home.

In the evening, spoke with Magi on skype. Well well, it's been what, eight years? Her mom (Eržika) is in the hospital, and should be out on monday. Now there's a bunch of things to do when she gets out - clean up and refill the fridge, who knows what perishables she had. Bring whatever she needs from the pharmacy. Help her up the stairs - luckily, just half a floor, she's at ground (wrong: first floor, I keep forgetting), but then she may or may not have transportation from the hospital (there's no more "hitna pomoć" vehicles, there's only "ambulance", it's all in english now). Etc etc, we'll see on monday.

So she finally saw us and the twins, and we saw her too, after eight years. While she's four years younger, she looks older than we. Her husband (accidentally my namesake, all the way) showed up a bit, waved, didn't talk. It's obviously us who live better, but somehow she had to point out that her mom has money. OK, think whatever you want. We'll just go on doing what we do, regardless.

From this point on, Byo pages are created, for most part, in serbian first, then translated into english. So far it was the other way round. True, new articles are created and photos added in english version only (too lazy to write a two-way synchronization), but now it begins as an empty record, photos optional, which is then written on the serbian side, once the automatic script brings it there (into postgres, happens in a few seconds), and I translate it back to english when done. That's easier specially for seventies, when I had lots of text I simply retyped from the diary, or just retold it. Otherwise I'd have to translate back into serbian, nonsense. It did happen already with some pieces.
