Her cousin, i.e. sister-by-aunt. Was married to Loba, a painter. No children. Worked in the bank until they divorced. A couple of years later married again and went to live in France. No contact since the last emails from november 2000, which are somehow dated 2094 and still pop up as new, every time I look into that folder.
Appeared on skype during doček of 2012, with a new husband, a somewhat fat happy character, who seemed to have lots of fun at the time. She was so happy to see us etc and then after that not a word. We know that she was visiting here several times meanwhile, and never even called or asked around.
Typical of her to find us whenever she needs something. Could be she also defaulted to the usual story (which we never explicitly heard, but which would explain a lot of cases) that we simply returned from the US because we failed there, with our tails between our legs. So she may fear that if we met, we may ask for a return of some of the favors we did her long ago. No confirmation for this either, but it does explain her being incommunicado.
We went a few times to check on her mom (Eržika, who is the last alive among the siblings (and also the youngest of them, while being over 80 already). Then in november of 2020 she finally remembered us when her mom hooked up a virus and got stuffed into the hospital, so we were designated as nearest of kin, to be dežurni by the phone.
And, BTW, she was born on 22nd of august, 1959, so she was a regular for the august birthdays.
