In the morning, more fun with Marinko, something about instantiating an object in fox - when does it have a parent and when not. Also chatted with Željko, he'll meet them when they arrive in Limassol. Sending him a liter of fresh apricot and last year's plum. They fly WizAir, and the ticket mentions Tel Aviv, can't see why, at this distance it should be a direct flight. There's a bunch of our folks there.

Went all together downtown to buy a few things. Tried the chinese shop on Žitni trg. Got a toy gun for Raja. I made just this one shot, and the chick working there sticks to me with warnings about photographing on the premises being forbidden. Sorry, child, my appologies, I'm a bit of a scatterbrain, probably was looking the wrong way, would you take me to the main entrance to show me the sign where it says it's forbidden? Of course there's no sign, and I know what's bothering these Chineses, they worry that someone would take down the pricing on various items. Saw that policy back in the over there, specially in that korean-roman shop. While I was backanforthing with her, two girls were posing to each other while trying out various garments, and taking pictures with their phones, no problem. They probably had even better resolution than the six year old eos40. The ghost of Ilija Čvorović* survived many things, including the Chineses: if you take shots with a mobile, all okay, if it's a proper shooter, you're a spy.

The weather is miraculously nice, both Nina and I made a bunch of shots. There's another one, in spirit of this one, when I did about face and shot the same scene in the shop windows of the shop behind me**.

Then we went to banatskakuća for lunch. Doesn't matter that we were there recently, Ender simply loves it. We sat by their built furnace, built true to the traditional design, all tamped clay, warm and cozy. They changed Violet's diapers on the bench by the furnace. The lunch was Bambi gulaš.

On seventeenth the four of them were already on Cyprus, where they met Željko and delivered the brandy, all went fine. We met them and also Go and Neša over skype. We went with Lena to Lalinski to arrange to buy that house with the old hag. My dad remembers her second husband from the village where he once worked, said the guy blew it, something so serious that he had to flee the village, so he married this woman, that's where he landed. Her first husband was a honest and dilligent guy, real man of the house; this second guy was more a hunter than a farmer, but I guess she didn't mind. Now he also died and she's selling, will move with her daughter to one of them Bečejs, we're buying, daughter will come and we all go to see the notary. The price is 7500€, agreed, no complaints.

The point of the whole story is that this is the Njujork municipality, a tax haven (regardless, in several other languages it's a tax paradise, haven-heaven, tawmahtoe-towmaytoe), Lena will register her firm at that address and will start paying taxes in Njujork, where they got to be more reasonable and cheaper than the skinning we have here, as perpetrated by Eči's maam, the fearless fighter from Kertes's brigades. (and future confirmed this, the cost was recouped on tax saving within less than two years; then in 2021. the tax havens ceased, the tax was the same everywhere, and the freelancers were forced into regular employment, so she put her firm to sleep)

In the start routine of Feds I find a two-liner routine: one selects the current appointments, the second sends the table's structure to printer (!). I commented it out and wrote „why would anyone need this, I'd like to know“. And I found it while looking for a way to destroy the menu (at 18:20!) when I'm going through it for the second (third, fourth...) time because it's one of those two-three clinics with multiple databases, sharing doctors but not patients, so it will try to create the menu again and clash with the one it made first time... Found a way to neatly kill the menus. In later version there's no such things, found a more elegant way to create the menus only once, luckily they're independent of the database and customer's settings. Hmm... but then they should be dependent, it would be a simple way to hide optional features until they are paid.

Das says some deaelell, with resources for the menus, causes problems at one clinic. Took a look and true, it's missing, not there in app's home directory, which isn't a problem, it runs off a copy in user's local directory, but... hmm, where would it copy it from then? And the local copy we found was the older version. There are only two versions and we have the luck to run into the wrong one so often. Lucky that it's only in Feds 6, which still isn't installed in too many places. We'll fix this in the next upFeds, before we distribute the six more widely.
