Day of funny smells. Everyone's still a bit weary after that bout of sickness of the previous days, the kids' sleep is out of whack (did Raja and Ender go to sleep at 4 or 5 in the morning), plus now Lena got it, she puked 8 times over the night.
I woke up rather early and had a regular breakfast.
sarma for lunch made everyone feel better, at least, though we didn't exactly eat all together - Nina was sleeping, Violet with her. All meals were staggered. I even took the three jars to dad's before we ate - as a rule, we eat first. On the way to his place I kept sniffing around to see whether the catshit stink is coming from the car, from my soles (but cleaned them three times over the weekend) or from something else. Probably something stank in our street, the sewers were getting clogged around the corner, or perhaps they're using some chemicals at the corner where that empty lot is finally being built upon (nb they started on 2nd and already have the foundation and some concrete work done).
Tried to get through the proxy issue at Empyria and got it to work... well, halfway. So many obstacles...
At dinner, I picked the wrong curry grinder - the old broken one, don't know why we still keep it around - and spilled all of it into my plate. Scraped it off and poured more čorba but still got my nose full of smells. At least not an inkling of an urge to puke, even though I felt I should avoid stronger spices.
In the evening, Go rolled a couple of cigarettes laced with artichokes. Haven't tried that since 1974, and just like then, didn't have any noticeable effect on me. This time too - felt more of stange smells, mostly of the fire we made few years ago when we cut and gathered all the weed from the left side of the garden before digging new channels, and of chicken shit.
Stanley got a good hit out of it, he laughed like crazy at anything anyone said.
