On 22nd-23rd we nighted in Klincaid. Fired up the stove, had some rakija. Dug up under the arches of the alleged glasshouse aka plastenik (analogy with staklenik, staklo being glass).
On 24th, long chat in the evening (at 17, then again at 19:30) with David, trying to log into a new clinic and at least start a blank database for them. Blank db, of course, doesn't exist in Feds, it has to have a few tables populated - settings, several name lists, basic questionnaires and queries etc etc. So it's a matter of picking one that's closest, to minimize the work on setting it up for the client at hand. Also, told me to refresh the demoing version of it on Jan's server (aka „NL server“) from 5.3.5.34 to latest....or 5.3.5.6. But that was a no go in both cases - the passwords for the new clinic didn't work, and Jan's IP number also changed (we never accessed it by name). Eventually, around 19:40, got both done, „done, try it. the last visited patient is Tanya Smith, with the old picture of Josephine Bloggs (just to check we're on the same page)“. Josephine Bloggs was always the name of our test patient, she's been through hundreds of cycles all over the world, had (or aborted) dozens of kids, donated and received ova, embryos... and her picture was one of a Barbie doll. So David was ready for that demo in NJ in the morning. About that clinic in CA, „Unfortunately not.... the main admin guy is away now for a few days...and this Dr. Siringue has patients all day...so of course what will happen is he will give me info at end of his biz day....you'll be long sleep“.
The chicken are growing nicely. They already have the first wing feathers.
Dad insisted, so we celebrated Raja's third birthday on 25th. He had a cake delivered from Brižita, with '3' and '35' written on it. So if we didn't celebrate our anniversary last week, he did it for us this time. I see we had some pohovano steaks.
On 27th I had to go to Lena's accountant downtown, to get more papers signed and stamped (I have the authorization, at least for the papers sent to her bank; for those to the state, not). Made only this one shot with the nokla, because I love these old ajnfors with their relief gates. Shots of those old gates are one of themes we cultivated back in the days of DC-99.
Looking at that now, I notice that the lokal (i.e. retail/hospitality business space) across the street is exactly where I got that wheelchair on 03-III-2021., and that it's the house where her parents lived when she was born. They were in the back, though.
The shot is somewhat burned where the pavement would show, so the cobbles aren't noticeable. This is the last street in downtown which still doesn't have asphalt, and if you ask anyone born here, it never should. The speed limit here would be 20 even if it had the best surface. There are many gates like this, every now and then some vehicle goes through them, there's parking on both curbs, which are very irregular, as the sidewalks are much taller than the pavement in most of the street, and the curbs are mostly slanted, paved with large cobblestones, all of that just 200m behind the main street's back. This stays as it was a hundred years ago, for historical reasons.
In the evening we had another meeting of the org committee for the big parastos in pivnica. Managed to catch the bus this time, and made a dozen good shots along the way. Among them, the best shot of a billboard I made so far. It only took a few seconds to get the best angle. This is on the corner where zzzzz is.
The meeting was, I'd say, regular. Nothing big to decide, we know the drill. The idiot hardcore rightwinger from 2nd gimnazija will do the speech, don't expect much luck with that, but hey, it's their turn, their cheek on display, he's their guy and nobody present of their folks seemed to object. We all respect their right to blunder.
