gimnazija

Grammar school, though the 1st Gimnazija where most of us went (my mom, until 10th grade, we both and Go graduated, Nina only 9th grade) was more science and maths oriented, while the 2nd, which was in the same building just in the opposite shift, was more humanities and languages. The two schools didn't see much of each other, being displaced in time (at one of the later maturski I heard the words "parallel universe"), and there was always some bit of competitiveness. While I was the editor of the school newspaper The Gram, there was always a race between us and their newspaper, whose will get printed first. The schools were united in their scorn of the 3rd Gimnazija, which they regarded as second rate.
IIRC, I was the 125th generation, and Go was the 149th.
