A blonde kid from one of the better schools in downtown Novi. Perhaps we met as early as that first course in cine technique in march of 1968 (she may have been 5th grade then); most probably that happened on that festival in 1971. A smart kid (and a pretty girl soon), we did find a dozen common subjects and talked endlessly on who knows what. It was mostly an epistolary friendship, even though there were periods when we fell in love with each other, as teenagers do, but never at the same time. As she said, "at opposite time".
Her dad was a scientist and university professor - biology something - and had a place smack downtown. I visited once, but can't remember the circumstances, probably during one of those amateur movie festivals, as the building was right across the street. I guess we talked for perhaps an hour and then, well, I stopped making movies after that big round in 1972; when I made just one more in 1975, I didn't take it to any festival, so I think we never met again.
Perhaps I saw her once during those four years of studies, but she was gone before I recognized her, and she surely wouldn't recognize me, what with that beard and long hair. Which I misremember, around 2020 I found her on the net and exchanged a few emails with her, and she actually does remember that, and did recognize me.
