(Place, tavern, firm, Yugoslavia)

Another novogradnja, across the street from ruža, and actually that one block closer to my place. Built in 1969-1970, as the next phase in the housing project around Lesnina, housed general population, whoever got the apartment from their enterprise. Not too many people I knew lived there - just Veca and Sneca, who moved in some time late in 1970 or early 1971, and later Jolpaz and Borko (tough, strictly speaking, they were in the next part, built in 1980). Števa lived there his last years.

Built somewhat better than ruža, with more room, central heating and carpets, the latter being not exactly an improvement over the hardwood there. The partitioning walls were hollow jobs, everyone called them cardboard walls, specially that they had wallpaper on. The bathrooms were better, the stairwells more spacious, the ceramics a class up.
