On 22nd at home, reledgering automatic for EnergoPro. Which may be just wrong, the same upitig2.prg dialog with the same date appears in a dozen other automatic transfer routines for various customers. Setting of parameters and generating is quite easy, but it's still easier to copy the whole routine.

A package with some piece of equipment arrived in Szoftex. A server, scanner, printer, some network box, who cares. It was quite big, could fit a mirko inside. It took the hardware guys about an hour to find how to open the box. They couldn't use a cutter, because this was for a customer, probably the Gemenc or the pharmacy wholesale who ordered MEC, so it would have to be set up, everything installed for it, then repackaged and delivered. There was some trick how to open it, and it took a while to figure it out.

When they finally opened it, inside they found the inner box, the CDs with apps and drivers to install, lots of booklets with instructions and, finally, the sheet with instructions on how to open the outer box.

Å erci came by, as there was a heap of those dead jerkoff mono monitors (which caused the invention of a screen saver, as we've seen many of them with the most used form etched in phosphor). The hardware shop couldn't (or wouldn't) fix them. He resurrected a dozen in less than two hours.

On 26th I just hit the pedal to convert a fox report into code... which worked partially. It had a grouping, it had headers, didn't have totalling and a few other things. And I dropped the matter because I got code which works but doesn't do what I wanted, and even with what little it does still runs at half speed of the original. And took me a few hours to waste on it.

Some time after midnight mucked around MEC again. For some reason all the automatic comments in generated code came out in english, which means they must have switched my machine again, so I forgot to set my environment variable with language setting, and GenerAll defaulted to english.

Few years ago it crossed my mind, wrongly, that we shouldn't pronounce default as difolt but as defo - mixing it up with Defoe probably, and I went on sezam with a detailed explanation of why difolt is wrong and defo is right. Incredibly, at least four people took to writing defo instead of difolt.

On 27th there was a routine to cleanup the lookup table of... well, cooperating peasants in Acc157 or weigh station (were those separate apps or the same?) it would be, as they were in the buyers table, which long ago ceased to be that and now contained pretty much any entity which had a business relationship with the firm. In Svemiks it got imported from somewhere, and it had an alphabetic code which was quirky and quite unusable, so this routine straightened that up. This was such a week, for cleanup and order.

And then it took off, in the evening, when I started writing the calculation, how much is a cooperant owed when he delivers or sells the crop as per contract, or apart from it. The routine to do that isn't naive at all, but then Brlja is experienced in those - as a coder he grew in Bangro, where calculations made little children.
